Roscoe and Bo: Mascots of Flock

Most people who shop at Flock know my two pups Roscoe and Bo pretty well. They have been staples at our little shop here on Shawmut Ave. since we opened and are quite well known through the neighborhood. Since I am their mom, I'm a little biased but I have always thought that having them in the store makes it feel more welcoming, more warm and altogether just a better environment. Well, we were super excited when we were asked to be part of the Boston Herald story about local shops with dogs as their mascots. My finacee and I love living in the South End, mostly because of the amount of dog lovers who live here. We know most of our neighbors by their dogs and I associate a lot of our wonderful customers with their dogs. Having Roscoe and Bo at Flock is not only great for myself and my customers, but also for them! They have made so many friends in the neighborhood that love to stop in and say hello, like Daisy, Georgia, Oopton, Oscar, Maggie, Maisy and America.

If you get a chance, read this great article in today's Boston Herald! And thank you to all our wonderful customers who have always welcomed Roscoe, Bo and the Flock family in our South End neighborhood home!

The South End Meets the Sunset Strip!

We are so excited to welcome Chaser LA tees to Flock! Just like your favorite threadbare tee from years ago, these are soft beyond belief, perfectly slouchy, and emblazend with graphics of your favorite bands (with a heavy emphasis on the Grateful Dead of course!).

Founded in 1988 as a direct offshoot of the LA music scene (we can only imagine getting our hands on an original Guns 'N Roses "Appetite for Destruction" beauty) the brand has evolved with the times, creating a luxury product with an air of gritty authenticity. Keep an eye out for more styles from this new Flock fave!

Grateful Dead Tie-Die, $58

Grateful Dead Fringe, $64

The Clash White Riot, $52

Jimmy Page Muscle Tee, $52

Let them eat cake!

When you're surrounded by scrumptious bakery treats on every corner, as we are here at Flock, it can be a challenge to maintain a modicum of willpower. (I'm talking to you, Wholly Grain scone!) And with a certain First Flockette's nuptuals coming up, let's just say we have cake on the brain. Which is why I simply could not believe my eyes when I saw these stunning creations from Charm City Cakes' (of Ace of Cakes fame) Spring "collection". These are truely cakes fit for a queen and almost too gorgeous to eat- some even remind us of our favorite outfits! Without further ado...

The Hunger Games, Flock-Style

So there's a little movie coming out tomorrow, The Hunger Games- maybe you've heard of it? Although this is almost guaranteed to be the smash of the year, with no shortage of inspired products to boot, we here at Flock were crushing on Katniss last fall with our lookbook inspired by the trilogy.

Conceived and styled by Jamie Wood, with photography and editing by Elise Crevier, The Dream Hunter follows our very own Dani into the woods as she chases her dreams with bow and arrow in hand, and sets up camp amongst the flora and fauna.
